Thank you to everyone who joined us for Watercress Fest! Families and friends of all ages gathered at the historic Saline Courthouse Museum to celebrate Cherokee culture, community and the beauty of nature. We had a great turnout and are grateful to everyone who came out and spent the day with us. Wado ᏩᏙ for making it such a memorable day!
Come and join the fun on Saturday, April 18, at the Saline Courthouse Museum! Enjoy a day filled with Cherokee culture and events at Watercress Fest, featuring live music, art demonstrations and Native games alongside guided tours, a pop-up market and food trucks.
Watercress Fest centers around celebrating our relationship to land and water. Our connection to the environment has a positive impact on the well-being of Cherokee Nation citizens and the tribe as a whole. Our hands are guiding the stewardship and shaping the conservation of our reservation.
Gain Cherokee perspectives on Native plants, appreciate artistic talents, take in a game of stickball, listen to good music and enjoy a bite to eat at Watercress Fest. This year, the festival will offer even more hands-on experiences, including cooking demonstrations and cultural workshops!
