Act of Union
About the Exhibit

In 1839, three different groups of Cherokee people overcame the divisions that followed Removal by coming together as one nation through the Act of Union. The agreement marked a turning point, uniting Cherokees under a single government and creating a stronger future for generations to come. A special exhibit, “Act of Union,” explores this pivotal moment in Cherokee history, highlighting the resilience, leadership and determination that helped reunify the Cherokee people.
