About the Event

Outdoor storytelling returns to downtown Tahlequah! Join us each Wednesday morning in June for “Stories on the Square” at the Cherokee National Peace Pavilion. Each week will feature a different storyteller, with performances beginning at 10 a.m., and a fun craft activity for all ages. “Stories on the Square” is free and open to the public.

June 4: Cherokee children’s book author Traci Sorell
June 11: Cherokee actress and storyteller Candice Byrd-Boney
June 18: Cherokee culture keeper Larry Shade
June 25: Cherokee National Treasure Robert Lewis
