This bag was pieced using scrap fabric to create an image of four Indigenous women coming together among the birches to help with the continuing generations. They are dressed in different time and places. The woman about to give birth is dressed in a modern boho style dress with a spiral representing a new continuation of indigenous people. The woman with her is in traditional Myaamia clothing with a doctor style bag to help. They are among the birch trees. The two women on a journey toward them are dressed in two different times of Eastern native dress. 

"This is the strength of our women throughout time here on Turtle Island."

Materials: Cotton fabric scraps, batik, size 11' dead beads, brass thimbles, leather, 1920's Dr. bag briefcase.
