"Du-kish'-ts'-i" II = Red-tailed Hawk II
Gorget Necklace #3. Engraving inspired by ancient Caddo Pottery Dunkin Incised design shown in "Handbook of Texas Archeology: Type Descriptions." Gorget has partial semi-circle shape with notches dividing it into thirds, with copper findings on double 1.5mm strands of natural leather cord with overall length of approximately 22". This item was completely redone after Tornado damage.
Materials: Pipestone (red)
Technique: rough stone, hand cut, shaped, sanded and polished with hand saws, rasps, files and sandpaper. Hand engraving with non-electric steel-tipped rod.
