Andrea Tidwell, Cherokee Nation

Diverse Art Form - “Always Remember”

 

Andrea Tidwell has been hand beading jewelry and art for nearly 40 years. Beadwork was taught to her by her mother, the late Mary Lee Catron Tidwell, a Cherokee beadwork artist. Tidwell's work has been sold in the Five Civilized Tribes Museum, Crystal Bridges and numerous places throughout the 40 year span of her artistry.

Sarah Brown, Cherokee Nation

Sarah Brown is a fine art nature and landscape photographer. Brown’s first experience with photography was during a trip to Canada’s Arctic Circle in 2013 to study and photograph polar bears. Inspired by that experience, Brown developed a passion for photography. In 2021, one of Brown’s photos was a part of the "This is An Adventure: Accidentally Wes Anderson" exhibit at Philbrook Museum of Art. Brown was born and raised in Shattuck, Oklahoma. She studied at the University of Tulsa College of Law and received a Juris Doctorate in 2010. She also holds a certificate in Sustainable Capitalism and ESG (environmental, social and governance) from UC Berkeley School of Law. Brown is an attorney and a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Cherokee Nation Bar Association. She lives in Oklahoma with her husband, Kyle Brown. She is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation and an Oglala Lakota descendant.
