National Day of Remembrance

Will Rogers was a famous Cherokee and America’s spokesman for the 20th century’s new, fledging mode of transportation: flying. Wiley Post was an aviation pioneer who flew around the world twice and set airspeed records. In 1935, both men tragically died in a small plane crash.

Our National Day of Remembrance honors Will, Wiley and all who have lost their lives in a small airplane crash. We host this day in conjunction with small airports across the country.
