Stories on the Square
JUNE 5 - JULY 31, 2019; 10 AM - 12 PM

Before Sequoyah introduced his “talking leaves” writing system, generations of Cherokees passed down family heritage and culture through the art of storytelling. Now, we are sharing that long-held tradition with our Stories on the Square event series.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and join us, from 10 a.m. to noon, as traditional Cherokee stories will be told on the grounds of the Cherokee National Peace Pavilion in Tahlequah.

Come, visit Cherokee Nation and be a part of this experience that is uniquely Cherokee.

June 19 - Held at the gazebo on the grounds of the Cherokee National History Museum.

Please plan to stay after the event for a fun "make and take" cultural activity. On June 12 and July 10, the Cherokee National Youth Choir will perform after our make and take activity.

These exciting cultural events are free and open to the public.
