Cherokee Day at Gilcrease Museum

Cherokee Nation is celebrating Gilcrease Museum’s new exhibition, “After Removal: Rebuilding the Cherokee Nation” with a day full of Cherokee culture. 
 
Cherokee Day at Gilcrease Museum will take place on Sunday, Sept. 24 from 10 am to 5 pm. Visitors will enjoy this special day of performances by the Cherokee National Youth Choir, Cherokee Adult Choir, traditional storytellers, as well as art and cultural demonstrations and kids activities.

“After Removal: Rebuilding the Cherokee Nation” tells the story of Cherokee Nation in the 19th century through the stark contrasts of the human experience – discord and harmony, war and peace, success and failure – and in the end, the creation of a solid foundation for the future of Cherokee people.
 
Admission ranges from $5-$8.
